It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Homer Clifton Whitman in Huntington, West Virginia, born in Peach Creek, West Virginia, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Homer Clifton shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Homer Clifton farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his significant other Daphenia "Daffy" Haynes-Whitman; and his children, Russell Whitman (Sheila), Homer "Sam" Whitman (Mary) and Sophia Whitman-Borden. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and lots of wonderful nieces and nephews.
