She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Jenkins and Trelma Elaine Meadows Jenkins; her son Joe Porter; and her siblings, Barbara Jean Thompson and Eugene Young.

She is survived by: her children, Kenny Porter and Jennifer Leffingwell; and her siblings, Roger Jenkins, Jimmy Jenkins and Brenda Thornhill. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
