He was predeceased by : his parents, Thelma Davis and Ira Davis; and his grandson Patrick O'Dell. He is survived by : his wife Charlene; his children, Jeff Davis (Edie), Martha O'Dell (Don) and Beth Trumpy (Dave); and his grandchildren, Ashley Reed, Katie Perperas, Adam O'Dell, Ben O'Dell, Lindsay Johnson, Caroline Birman, Michael Trumpy and Claire Meyer.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Teays Valley Presbyterian Church (5339 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot, WV 25560). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that friends consider making memorial donations in Charlie's name to either: Transportation Fund at Beni Kedem 100 Quarrier Street Charleston, WV 25301 or Teays Valley Presbyterian Church 5339 Teays Valley Road Scott Depot, WV 25560.
