With sadness, we share the passing of Frank Giardina (Hurricane, West Virginia). Frank, born on October 4, 1954, passed away on October 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Frank for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Giardina and Leona Giardina. He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his sister Denise; and his children, Gabe (Wimberly), Erin Dore (Kevin Dore), Mary (Matt Preston), Anne Polendey (Ryan Polendey) and Jonathan (CJ). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and many other extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 19th 2026 at the River Ridge Church (1 Saturn Way, Hurricane, WV 25526).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Marshall University W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications in his honor.
