Janie F. Cooper Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 19, 2026, at the age of 79, Janie F. Cooper in Hurricane, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Janie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Janie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lee and Venie Marie Smith Farley; her husband Jerry Alton Cooper; and her grandson Justin Purdy. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Cooper of Nimitz, WV and Jennifer Cooper of Beaver, WV; her son-in-law Marvin Purdy; her grandson Josh Purdy (Ashley); and her great grandchild Amelia Purdy.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery (1136 Sand Knob Rd, Nimitz, WV 25978).
