It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Buford Grant of Hurricane, West Virginia, who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervin Allen and Vonda Irene Grant; and his sisters, Ima McDaniel, Shirley Whitt, Patty Lewis and Diane Persinger.
He is survived by: his children, Angela D. Jones (Chris) of Hurricane, WV and Gregory L. Grant (Michelle) of Huntington, WV; his grandson Jimmy Grant of Charlotte, NC; his children, Joseph Grant of Huntington, WV and Julie Dean (Andrew) of Knoxville, TN; his siblings, Billy Grant (Mary Jane) of Columbus, OH, Carolyn Stanley of Southside, WV and Deb Grant Forth of Hurricane, WV; and his brother-in-law John Lewis of Hurricane, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
