She was predeceased by : her husband Lewis Cass Rice; her parents, Earl Searls and Zula Searls; and her sister-in-law Rita Searls. She is survived by : her brother Paul Searls; her niece Kathy Anderson; and her nephew Davis Searls of Hurricane. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Allen Funeral Home (2837 Main St, Hurricane, WV 25526). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
