He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Rose and Opal Rose; his wife Rebecca "Becky" Rose; his siblings, Alan, Faye, Marlene and Joann; his son-in-law Joseph "Joe" Ball; and his grandsons, Alan and Stephen King.
He is survived by: his children, Wendy King (Alan), Heidi Rose (Joe), Wendell Jr. "Rusty" Rose (Geneva) and Arthur "Ricky" Rose (Tessa); his siblings, Ada, Frank, Jack, Roger and Richard; and his grandchildren, Kenneth "KJ" (Whitney), Ryan, Racheal, Shay, Eric, Ruby, Marley, Trinity, Skylar, Evan, Ricky, Waylon and Kevin. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider being an organ/tissue donor and to make donations in Wendell's name to the following organizations and charities: West Virginia State Police Association, Duke University, Muscular Dystrophy Association, St. Judes Children's Hospital, The MS Society, Shriners Children Hospital.
