With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Zelda Barrett (Hurricane, West Virginia), who passed away on August 16, 2025 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Zelda Barrett to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Pate and Mae Pate; her husband Donald "Donnie" Barrett of Hurricane; and her brothers, Harland, Marcel, Kenneth and Dana Glen.
She is survived by: her sister Sue Plumley; her son George Barrett (Mendy) of Hurricane; her grandchildren, Ethan Barrett (Hannah) of Monroeville, PA and Emma Barrett (Aaron Parker) of Hurricane; and her niece Charlotte Plumley Caldwell. She is also survived by nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House at HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston, WV 25387, in Zelda's memory.
