With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James William Shawyer of Inwood, West Virginia, born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shawyer and Mary Shawyer; and his siblings, Michael, Robbie, Donnie, Jerry, Wayne, Steve Shawyer and Patricia Klingenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Butts Shawyer; his siblings, Doris Shuster (Norman), Barbara Shipley, David Shawyer, George Shawyer (Ruthanne), Bonnie Butts (Rick), Ernie Shawyer, Pamela Davis, Sam Shawyer and Jeff (Sue); his children, Dennis Shawyer (Jacklyn), Rick Shawyer (Lisa), Penny Mutton (Perry) and James Shawyer (Judy); his grandchildren, J. D. Souders, Victoria, Haleigh Shawyer, Olivia, Owen Shawyer, Shathena Seidelll, Tiffany Shawyer, Jessica Orndorff-Shawyer, Carlos, Hugo Carillo, Bethany, Brittany Shawyer, Jacob and Conner Long; his nephew Steve Shawyer (Leah); Michelle Long (Dickie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Ln., Kearneysville, WV 25430, in memory of Jim.
