He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lee May, Sr. and Evelyn Hunt; and his siblings, Charles, Virginia and Hilda.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ayers May; his children, John Edward May, Jr., Cheree May, Robert Lee May and Caitlin May; and his grandchildren, Trenton, Liam and Evalynn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
