He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Strickland and Retha Strickland (Given); and his brother Charles Strickland, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. Strickland (Carper); his daughters, Suzanne Winnard (Vic) of Annandale, VA and Sharon Band (Bob) of King George, VA; his granddaughters, Katherine, Megan and Nicole Band; and his brother Allen Strickland of Parkersburg, WV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
