He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Owen Ferguson and Verbie Mae Sheppard Ferguson; his son Darrell Curtis Ferguson; and his siblings, Clarence Lee Ferguson, Cathy Mae West and Janice Merea Snyder.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Ferguson of Jane Lew; and his children, Ronnie Gene Ferguson of Jane Lew, Regina Rochelle Starett (Joe) of Jane Lew, Robert Gene Ferguson (Megan) of Friendsville, MD, Michael Purkey (Karen) of Bridgeport, Scott Purkey (Theresa) of Bridgeport and Keith Purkey (Donna) of Suffolk, VA. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Law Chapel Cemetery Fund and mailed to PO Box 194, Jane Lew, WV 26378.
