With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Retha Mae Gibson of Jolo, West Virginia, born in Bradshaw, West Virginia, who passed away on December 26, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Dan Poore and Vernie Swiney Poore; her sons, Luther and Scottie Gibson; and her granddaughter Alita D. Ball.

She is survived by : her husband John M. Gibson of Jolo, WV; her children, Lynn Lester (Walt) of Bartley, WV, Doris Coleman (Gary) of Jolo, WV and Johnny Gibson (Sharon) of Whitewood, VA.; and her close friend Linda Moon. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews.
