He was predeceased by : his parents, Wendell Allen and Lillie Jane Bowles; his grandparents, Joseph Green and Gertha Belle Williams; and his brothers, Douglas Allen, Thomas Dale of James Dale and James Robert Bowles.

He is survived by : his sister Lillie Marie Cadle of Princeton; and his friend Sue Angell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
