With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James C. Canterbury of Jumping Branch, West Virginia, who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Harold and Lucy Geneva Smith Canterbury; his wife Jo E. Canterbury; and his siblings, Harold Canterberry Jr. and Carol Roark.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanne Cline (Steve), Jimmy Canterbury and Charles Canterbury (Kelly); his grandchildren, Rosa Cline, Torrey Smith, Tiffany Morris and Alexis Canterbury; his great grandchildren, Rosalyn, Elena, Emily, Chandler, Faith, Wyatt, Kendall, Tucker, Hudson and Hayden; and his siblings, Rosalie Madonna, Sylvia Stevenson, Marian Adams, Nancy Whitlock and John Canterbury.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel (130 Temple St, Hinton, WV 25951). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
