Though Richard may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bailey and Florence Bailey; and his brothers, Robert William Bailey and Arthur Samuel Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Karen Bailey; his sons, Richard Bailey Jr. (Lizzye) and Zackory Barnes (Brittany); his sisters, Sandra Kay Russell and Anna Bailey; his close friend Maytag; and his pets, Peanut and Diamond Marie. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Waybright Funeral Home (511 S Church St, Ripley, WV 25271). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
