He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Thompson and Mabel Thompson; his brothers, Darrell Thompson and Denver Thompson; and his son-in-law Kevin Adkins.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Thompson; his children, Carla Spence (Jerry), Dovetta Adkins and Timothy Thompson; his grandchildren, Ashley Holley (Jake) of Kaitlyn Spence, T. C, Jonathan Adkins and Kimber Adkins; and his sister Ellen Caldwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
