He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Gainer and Ethel Harsh Gainer; his wife Delores Jean McDonald; and his siblings, Boyd, Robert, Kenneth, Ronald, David, Joseph Gainer and Alice Vandevender.
He is survived by: his children, Robert H. Gainer of Kerens, Noah A. Gainer of Kerens and Angela D. White of Kerens. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Tomblyn Funeral Home (45 Randolph Ave, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
