He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Vandevender and Nina Rexroad Vandevender; and his nephews, Craig E. Vandevender and Jerry R. Teter, Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Ralph E. Vandevender of Kerens, Richard Vandevender (Merrill) of Kerens, A. Wayne Vandevender of Montrose and Diane Coberly (David) of Montrose; and his sister-in-law Pat Teter of Bruceton Mills, WV..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tomblyn Funeral Home (45 Randolph Ave, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
