He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bowens and Jessie Bowens (Spaulding); his son Robert Glen Bowens; and his siblings, Charles, Haskel, Everett, Dan, John, Paul David, Opal, Pearl, Carol and Louise.
He is survived by: his sons, Mitchell Dale Bowens (Kim) of Kermit, WV and Barry Bowens of Norwalk, OH; his grandchildren, Danielle Hall (PJ) of South Carolina, Katlyn Bowens of South Carolina and Derek Mills of Prestonsburg, KY; and his great grandchildren, Kane Hall and Jayleigh Hall.
