Cora Lee Redman Obituary

Cora Lee Redman, 72, of Ward Avenue, Keyser, W.Va., and formerly of Petersburg, W.Va., died Wednesday, March 2, 1977, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

Born on September 6, 1904, in Petersburg, she was a daughter of the late Arch W. Redman and Anna Elizabeth (Reel) Redman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Elwood Hollingsworth Jr., and infant Ronald Twyman; three infant granddaughters, including, Edith Redman and Eleanore Hollingsworth; six brothers, William Redman, Holmes Redman, Page Redman, Emmitt Redman, John Redman, and Charles Redman, and two sisters, infant Jennie Redman and Lena Redman.

Ms. Redman was a member of the Davis Chapel Methodist Church in Petersburg. She relocated to Keyser and became a member of the Church of God & Christ, Keyser. Additionally, she held positions as a housekeeper and in the culinary departments of Grant County public schools.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Lee Hollingsworth and Mrs. Wanda L. V. Twyman, both of Keyser; two sons, Emmett J. Redman and Olie T. Redman, both of Keyser; 24 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Redman, of Petersburg; Miss Anna Redman, of Staunton, Va., and Mrs. Grace Groves, of Hubbard, Ohio, and a brother, Olie Redman, of Petersburg.

The body will be at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, where friends will be received after 7 p.m. today and from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. tomorrow. A service will be conducted there on Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Lester Clifford will officiate.

Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg.
