He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lewis Kooken and Morna Arbutus Kooken (Ordner); and his siblings, Robert Kooken, Norma Michaels and Donna McBride.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen R. Kooken (Junkins); his daughters, Kathy Botteicher of Waynesboro, VA and Nancy Stahl (Dave) of State College, PA; and his grandchildren, Anna Graham (Ben) of Lyndhurst, VA, Shelley Mize (Benton) of Waynesboro, VA, Joshua Rotruck (Melody) of Lynchburg, VA, Matt Stahl of Port Matilda, PA and Nate Stahl of State College, PA. He is also survived by his fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Markwood Funeral Home (111 S Mineral St, Keyser, WV 26726). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at the Potomac Memorial Gardens (597 Cemetery Rd, Keyser, WV 26726).
