She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Hershey and Mamie Hershey (Harman); her husband Vance R. Shears; her daughter Lois Jeanette Shears; her daughter-in-law Linda Shears; her siblings, Raymond Hershey, Mildred Leatherman and Mary Dimlich; and her granddaughter Billie Jo Crites.
She is survived by: her children, Roger V. Shears (Glenda) of Moorefield, Robert W. Shears (Teresa) of New Creek, Mary Susan Becker (Kenneth) of Keyser and Melissa Tichnell (David) of Keyser; her grandchildren, Heather Johnson, Jonathan Becker, Shannon Becker, Salenna Shears, Savanna Shears, Bobbi Jo Kesecker, Stephanie Rodrigues and Sara Hunt; her great grandchildren, Wesley Johnson, Leah Johnson, Caspian Becker, Leroy Vance Becker, Zachary Crites, Anthony Haggerty, Hannah Kesecker, Katelyn Kight, Emily Mayhew, Philip Wilt and Callie Jo Jeanette Wilt; and her great great grandchild Dallas James Potter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith Funeral Home ~ Keyser Chapel (85 S Main St, Keyser, WV 26726). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
