He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carlyle "Hap" Kauffman and Clara Elizabeth Spotts Kauffman; and his wife Ida Marie Walsh Kauffman. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Kauffman of Greendale, Carrie Clay (Shawn) of Keyser and Bill Kauffman (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Brittney, Brandon, Brady, Jordon and Kameron; his great grandchildren, Aria, Coa and Carmila; his sister Susan K. Howie; his niece Sarah Howie of Fort Meyers, FL; and his pet Kenzie.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Markwood Funeral Home (111 S Mineral St, Keyser, WV 26726). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are asked to be made to the National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016.
