He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Sumner Sawyers and Mildred G. Sawyers (White); and his wife Carolyn Sue Sawyers (Davis). He is survived by: his children, Thomas L. Sawyers (Michelle), Michael Dean Sawyers (Kelley) and Bethany Ann Sawyers (James Weasenforth); his stepchildren, Harry W. Wilhelm and Tracy L. Wilhelm; his grandchildren, Jennifer Sawyer, Charity Flaskamp, Jonathan Hedrick, Tessa Sawyers, David Grady, Lacey Sawyers, Michael Sawyers, Sofia Weasenforth, Joey Weasenforth, Charlee Weasenforth and Austin Wilhelm; and his brother Edwin S. Sawyers (Nancy). He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
