Freda Mae Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 7, 2025, at the age of 74, Freda Mae Smith of Kimball, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Freda Mae may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Knuckles and Opal Knuckles. She is survived by: her husband Gary Smith; her children, Michael Lafferty Jr. (Christine), Bobby Smith (Tabatha) and Tracy Fields (Jeffery); and her sisters, Sylvia Goodson and Kathy Young (Tommy). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (3410 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
