He is survived by: his children, Wendy, Joereal, Charis, Doria, Raymond, Valerie, Jamie and Briar; and his siblings, John Groves of Lost Creek, Rebecca Jeney (Chris) of Clarksburg, Ronnie Groves (Felicia) of Nicholas County and Sandy Neel (Hubert) of South Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
