He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Adkins and Edna Adkins; and his sister Terrie Dickerson. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Hall Adkins; his children, Cynthia Dent (Robert), Kristy Adkins and Jonathan Adkins (Nicole); his grandchildren, Charity Chafin (Trace), Caleb Dent, Abigail Messer (Joey), Emily, Rebekah, Hope, Eden Dent, Roxy Lucas and Lillian Adkins; his great grandchild Cole Messer; his sisters, Deloris Sampson, Billie Adams and Jerri Knisley; and his great-niece Maisyn Kate Lester.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (169 Forest Lawn Cemetery Rd, Pecks Mill, WV 25547). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with arrangements.
