He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Lee Bowling and Pauline Clower Bowling; his wife Judy Foley Bowling; and his brothers, Lewis "Bubby" Bowling, Isaac Bell and David Bell.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Bowling, Serina Bowling, Teresa Mills, Elsie Bowling and James Bowling, Jr.; his stepchildren, Billy Shrewsbury, Darold Shrewsbury and Teresa Hill; and his sister Darlene Weese. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home (1612 Honaker Ave, Princeton, WV 24740). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
