He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret; and his brothers, Eugene Holt, Merril Holt and Henry Holt. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Holt; his sons, Ronald D. Holt, II (Brittany) of Bluefield, VA and Rodney M. Holt (Leslie Robertson) of Lashmeet; his siblings, Giles Holt (Debbie) of Lashmeet, Earl Holt (Nancy) of Lashmeet, Kenny Holt (Brenda) of Princeton, Margaret Shrewsbury of Matoaka, Janet Caruso (Jimmy) of Lashmeet and June Taylor (Roger) of Weyanoke; and his grandson Christian Holt of Bluefield, VA. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Weyanoke Church of God. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (450 Courthouse Rd, Princeton, WV 24740).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 628 in memory of Merril Holt.
