He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Mitts and Alma Garrard Mitts; and his siblings, Edna Mae Taylor and Bill Mitts. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Smith Mitts of Lavalette; his children, Sam Mitts (Catherine) of Lavalette, Ed Mitts (Kari) of Cynthiana, KY and Bobbi Mitts of Scott Depot, WV; and his grandchildren, Joshua Mitts (Sara Kate Russell) of Culloden, WV, Paul Mitts, Zoe Mitts of Lavalette, WV, Hannah Mitts and Nate Mitts of Cynthiana, KY..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
