He is survived by: his wife Clearinda June Adkins Thompson; his son Richard Thompson (Julie); his grandsons, Matthew Thompson, Logan Troyer, Michael Stump and Nicholas Stump; his sister Joyce Blankenship (Ashley); and his nephews, Steven Blankenship and Kendall Blankenship.
