William left this world on May 16, 2026 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fletcher and Claudia Mae Bunn Dunkle; his wife Gladys Lucille Sifford Dunkle; and his brother Carl Dunkle. He is survived by: his children, Vicki Cassidy (Larry) of Lavalette, WV, Lisa Nemith of Lavalette, WV and Chris Dunkle (Tamara) of Lavalette; his sister Ina Lou Peake of Baltimore, MD; and his grandchildren, Joshua Cassidy, Brandi Blake, Jamie Adkins, Megan Holland, John Dunkle, Austin Nemith and John Nemith. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
