It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Willis Gene Steele of Lavalette, West Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Carrie Epling Thomas; and his siblings, Carl Steele and Jewell Gray. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Steele; his children, Patricia Ulanch (Mark), Michael Steele and Kevin Steele (Melanie); his grandchildren, Elise Galis (Michael), Brandon Steele, Ryan Steele and Kyle Steele; and his sister Cathy Fortner (Charles). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
