She was predeceased by: her parents, Della Smalley and Anna Null Smalley; her husband Frank Pennington; her grandchildren, Timothy Higginbotham and Kayla Higginbotham; and her siblings, Sonny Smalley, Iris Stone, Emma Barnette, Madelene Jividen and Irene Beller.
She is survived by: her children, Franklin Casto of Leon and Tammy Higginbotham (Wayne); and her grandchildren, Bradley Palmer (Elisabeth), Daniel Casto (Lyndsay), Rusty Eads (Diane) and Danielle Higginbotham. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, one great grandchild.
