He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Leslie and Mary Sue Clay (Harvey); his brother Joseph Lesley Clay; and his pet Chuckey. He is survived by: his wife Angela Scarberry Clay; his daughter Tiffany Clay (Gregory II); his grandchildren, Hannah "AJ" Gross of Bickmore, WV, Lucas Garret of Bickmore, WV and Trish Boggs of South Carolina; his siblings, Elizabeth Mitchelle (Rick) and Marlin Clay (Becky) of Tennessee; his great-nieces, Annie and Ariel Mabry of Fort Gay; his pet Trixie; and his close friends, Bill, James, Freddie and Glenn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gatens-Harding Funeral Home (147 Main St, Poca, WV 25159). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel (147 Main St, Poca, WV 25159).
