He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl W. Birchfield and Edna Keaton Birchfield. He is survived by : his son Garrett W. Birchfield of Lafayette, Ohio; his granddaughters, Brianna, Kira, Blayne and Maebry Birchfield; his great grandchild Christopher of Lafayette, Ohio; his siblings, Linda Taylor of White Oak, WV, Loraine McCutcheon (Bern) of Albuquerque, NM, Ennice Sweigart (Jim) of Gallipolis, OH, Lisa Agee (Glenn) of Great Falls, SC and Kenneth Birchfield (Joyce) of Pierpoint, WV; and his close friend Joy Hammon of Beckley, WV.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
