She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert O'Neal and Mary Susan Cooper (Porter); her husband Paul Ashworth; her daughter Tangela "Tangie" Thornton; and her siblings, Keith Cooper, Yvonne Butler, Baby and Janette.

She is survived by: her daughter Malena Ashworth of Letart, WV; her granddaughters, Jennifer Thornton of Letart, WV and Brittney Ashworth (Randy) of Marietta, OH; and her great grandchild Aubree Thornton.
