James Shanholtz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 65, James Shanholtz of Levels, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint James leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shanholtz and Zetta Herbaugh; and his sister Sandra Kay Kesner. He is survived by: his children, Melody Shanholtz of Romney, WV, Chastity Landrum of Romney, WV, James Shanholtz of Springfield, WV and Brandon Shanholtz of Romney, WV; and his siblings, Bill Shanholtz, Jeff Shanholtz, Wyatt Shanholtz, Lonnie Shanholtz, Lucinda McKnight, Bonnie Whetzel and Penny Pennington. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
