He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy B. Linton Sr. and Effie Frances Mottesheard Linton; his daughter Michelle Linton; his close friend Elizabeth McGurty; his brothers, Marlin Lee Linton (Agnes) and Coy Linton Jr.; the mother of his children Janet Marie Hess Linton; and his close friend Sandra Miller (Lee).
He is survived by: his daughter Angie Linton (Kevin Deitz); and his sister-in-law Cora Sue Linton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home (252 Montvue Dr, Lewisburg, WV 24901). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
