George M. Watson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George M. Watson of Logan, West Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Camilla Watson, and Walter H. Watson, Sr. of Logan; his parents-in-law, Madge and Tom T. Prince of Beckley; and his siblings, Walter Watson, Jr. of Huntington, Geoffrey Watson of Logan and Patricia Watson of Logan.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Prince Watson; his children, George Michael Watson II (Tracy) of Hurricane and Lee Watson Tomblin (Ted) of Logan; his siblings, Marsha Watson of Logan, Robert Watson (Charlotte) of El Dorado, AR and Kevin Watson (Vickie) of Fort Mill, SC.; his grandchildren, Olivia Tomblin Cude of Logan, TJ Tomblin of Logan, Abigail Watson Hill (Caleb Hill) of Hurricane, Michael J. Watson of Hurricane and Anna M. Watson (Ethan Young) of Hurricane; and his great grandchildren, Luke of Logan, Caroline of Logan, Charlotte Cude of Logan, Briar Tomblin of Logan, Noah of Hurricane and Ella Hill of Hurricane. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
