In loving memory of John D. Gardner Sr. of Logan, West Virginia, who departed this world on July 12, 2025 at the age of 67. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Watson Gardner, Sr. and Frances Gardner (Hill); his son Timothy Gardner; his close friends, Charles "Boat" Boatwright, Charles "Butterman" Jordan and Harrison Shephard; and his siblings, James "Milky" Gardner, Louise Jackson, Doris Burress, Carol Jean Ruffin and Mary Gardner.
He is survived by: his sons, John "J. D." Gardner, Jr. of Logan, WV and Cody Gardner of Logan, WV; his siblings, Watson, Jr. of Cleveland, OH, Jerry of Louisville, KY, Curtis Neil of Buffalo, NY, Jim Wesley (Makerita) of San Sangelo, TX, Bill (Donna) of Whitman, WV, Raymond (Sharon) of Miami, FL, Carrie Mae of Cleveland, OH, Martha Morris of Louisville, KY and Alretha Kay of Louisville, KY; his grandchildren, Deanna, Kyle, Maliki, Jaylissa, Kamaya, Kayden, Jamerra, Jacarri, Kingston and Kian; his close friend Lovely Ann Gardner; and his nephew Raymond Gardner. He is also survived by special friends: caregiver.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of McConnell (342 McConnell Road, Stollings, WV 25646). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
