He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Allen and Martha Ellis; his sister Mary Lou Nottingham; his grandson Kayden Ellis; and his parents-in-law, Everett and Ethel Rife.
He is survived by: his wife Vernie Ellis; his children, Valerie Ellis (Brandon Schaller), James Ellis, Kenny Ellis (Miranda) and Joseph Ellis; his brother Scottie Ellis; his grandchildren, Justin Ellis, Christian Ellis (Lauren), Preston Ellis (Jordan), Faith Rayne and Vinny Schaller; and his great grandchild Ella Jane Ellis. He is also survived by his co-workers.
