We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2025, at the age of 91, Ruby Mae Moore (Logan, West Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Ruby Mae's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ella Victoria Adkins (Queen) and Arvil Pembrook Adkins; and her children, Glen Howard Moore of California and Tammy Rae Moore-Browning of Murrells Inlet, SC. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Akers-James Funeral Home (832 Old Logan Rd, Logan, WV 25601). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
There will not be flower or donation deliveries as Ruby's yard is decades full of greenery that many helped her cultivate but her best friend Jim Richards continued to clean, feed, and develop as Ruby was no longer able to maintain it.
