It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Paul Copass of Lost Creek, West Virginia, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Parrish Copass and Mescal Cunningham; his stepfather Mitchell Cunningham; his sister Tina Stephens; his mother-in-law Inez Harper; his sister-in-law Shayne Harper; and his nephew Theodore Harper.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Copass; his sons, Thomas Harper and Jonas Copass; his grandchildren, Rowan Lonie and Scarlett Harper; his siblings, Marie Shepherd (Jerry), Myra Hanyzewski (Tim), Holly Copass, Gary Copass (Violet), Doyle Copass and Chris Cunningham (Sharon Muse); his father-in-law Mike Harper (Joyce); and his siblings-in-law, Loretta Girdich (Frank), Michelle Foster (Cristy), Michael Harper (Juanita) and Martin Harper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to allergens, please do not send flowers, and the family requests that no one wears cologne or perfumes.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to assist the funeral expenses.
