He was predeceased by: his father Billie H. Sayers; his close friend Sandra Lewis; his brother Ronald Sayers; and his grandparents, William, Thelma McDaniel, John and Ressie Sayers.
He is survived by: his mother Janet McDaniel Sayers of Gregorys Run; his siblings, Donna Davis (Keith) of Lumberport and David Sayers of Clarksburg; and his son John Robert Sayers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
