She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar Adkins and Opal Winnona Meade Adkins; her husband Ernest Chafin; her grandparents, James Meade, Rosetta Madden Meade, Elisha Adkins and Julia Bills Adkins; her siblings, Nada Triplette, James Adkins and Steve Adkins; and her son-in-law Steve Smarr.
She is survived by : her children, Michael Kim Chafin (Belinda) of Madison, Ernest Mark Chafin (Becky) of Forest, VA, Randy Joe Chafin (Robin) of Madison and Kathy Smarr of Marietta, GA; her brothers, Gale Adkins of Worthington, KY, Gary Adkins (Roma) of Chesapeake, OH and Keith Askins (Joy) of Salt Rock, WV; her grandchildren, Cristen Jandreau (Joel), Jared Chafin (Katie), Amber Chafin (Jon), Cameron Chafin (Hollie), Noelle Chafin, Sterling Chafin, Zachary Smarr (Emily) and Taylor Dean (Harrison); and her great grandchildren, Macie Spurlock, Carter Jandreau, Jordan Jandreau and Palmer Smarr. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
