He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Maynard and Ruth Maynard Lesson; his significant other Gail Frances Maynard; his son Rev. Leroy Maynard Jr.; his parents-in-law, Virginia Beatrice Doty and Ernest Henry Doty Jr.; his brothers-in-law, Ernest Henry Doty III and Tommy R. Doty; his siblings, Russell Maynard, Richard White, Ronald White and Carolyn White; and his nephew Tad Doty.

He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Maynard (Patty) of Salem, VA; his daughter-in-law Margie Maynard of Neibert; his brother Mike Doty (Tammy) of Crown; his siblings' children, Larry and Lisa Doty; his sister-in-law Tonnia Doty of Crown; his sisters, Ann Comella and Frances Thomas of Brunswick, OH; his grandchildren, Mandy Yancy (Isaac) of Greer, SC, Cheryl Bailey (Mike) of Florence, KY, Amber Maynard (Dustin) of Stollings, Nicole Vanaelst (P. J.) of Accoville, Corey Maynard of Neibert and Joseph Maynard of Salem, VA; his great grandchildren, Sarah Defoe (Austin) of Kettering, OH, Caleb Bailey of Springfield, OH, Noah Musick of Accoville, Emma of Accoville, Colt of Accoville, Henry Vanaelst of Accoville, Elania and Abel Schanz of Stolling; and his great great grandchildren, Landin, Coltin and Oaklee Deroe of Kettering, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Man Church of God (637 Main St, Man, WV 25635).
