He was predeceased by : his parents, Rev. Chester Samuel Bissett and Lillian Gorbey Bissett; his brother David; and his stepson Jack West. He is survived by : his wife Linda Bland Bissett; his son George Allen Bissett (Missi) of Stonewood; his stepsons, Samuel West of Laurelville, OH, Michael Stark (Dawn) of Fairmont, WV and Jason Stark (Brooke) of Barrackville, WV; his grandchildren, Layton Bissett of Kingwood, Maura, Luke, Lilly Stark and Conner Rush; his sister Sharon Bissett; his sister-in-law Judy Bissett of Mannington; his niece Anna Maria Hughes (David); his nephews, David (Laura) and Michael Burton of New Jersey; and his friends, Ike Morgan, Jerry Taylor and Carol Toothman Booth. He is also survived by his family and his many friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Masters Funeral Home (209 E Main St, Mannington, WV 26582). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
